BrightSmile was founded in 2014 with a simple idea: dentistry done well, delivered by people who actually know your name.
Dr Rachel Okafor opened BrightSmile after fifteen years working in larger corporate practices, frustrated by short appointment slots and a sales-driven approach to treatment. She wanted to build a clinic where dentists had time to listen, treatment plans were genuinely tailored, and the people behind reception knew you by name.
Today we're a team of four clinicians and six support staff, treating around 4,000 patients across central London. We've intentionally stayed small. It means we can spend longer with each patient, take on tricky cases that bigger groups won't, and keep our standards consistent.
We invest in modern technology — digital scanners, intra-oral cameras, soft-tissue lasers — but the things our patients tell us they value most are simpler than that: a calm waiting room, honest advice, and a team that doesn't make you feel rushed.

If you don't need treatment, we'll tell you. If something's not working, we'll say so. No upselling, ever.
We're here for the next twenty years, not the next twenty minutes. Most of our patients have been with us for over five years.
